About us
PrintSphere is a 3D printing service based in Toronto, Ontario. We print parts from the files our customers upload and hand them over at our pickup spot or by delivery within the Greater Toronto Area. You can reach us at hello@printsphere.ca or in the chat on your job page.
Quotes and prices
- The instant quote is worked out from your file: the filament it needs, the print time, and the material, quantity and settings you choose. All prices are in Canadian dollars.
- Every order has a $5 minimum. There are no setup fees.
- Express costs $50 more and moves your order ahead of standard orders in our print queue. It guarantees that printing starts the same day, and that your order is delivered, or ready for pickup, the same day or next day once the print is finished.
- Some orders need a person to check them first, for example when you add special instructions or the file has problems. We text you the price before you pay, and you are free to decline it.
- If we spot a mistake in a quote, we tell you the correct price before printing. You can accept it or cancel for a full refund.
- Promo codes follow the conditions shown with each code, cannot be exchanged for cash and may be ended at any time.
- Taxes, where they apply, are shown before you pay.
Payment
You pay online through Square's secure checkout, or another way we agree with you in the job chat. We start printing once your order is paid, unless we agree otherwise. Your invoice and receipt can be downloaded from your job page.
Your files and designs
- You keep full ownership of your designs. You allow us to use your files only to quote, print and support your order.
- We do not share, sell or reuse your files, and we do not print extra copies.
- We delete your files 30 days after your order is complete, so keep your own copy if you may want to reorder.
- By uploading a file, you confirm that you own it or have the right to have it printed, and that printing it does not break anyone's copyright, trademark, patent or design rights.
- We check files automatically for common problems and may flag ones that need fixing. You are still responsible for the design itself, including its size, wall thickness and fit.
What we won't print
We can refuse or cancel any order, with a full refund, if it is for:
- firearms, firearm parts or accessories, or other weapons;
- anything illegal to make or own in Canada;
- copies of someone else's protected design, logo or product without permission;
- anything we judge to be unsafe, hateful or meant to harm someone.
Print quality and use
We print with FDM printers, which build parts in thin layers of plastic. That means:
- fine layer lines and small marks where supports touched the part are normal;
- dimensions can differ slightly from your file, so leave a little clearance for parts that must fit together;
- colours can look different from your screen and can vary a little between filament batches.
Our prints are not tested or certified for safety-critical, medical, food-contact, child-safety or heavy load-bearing use. You decide whether a part suits what you plan to do with it, and you use it at your own risk.
Pickup and delivery
- Pickup: free, at 8 Crescent Town Road, Toronto, ON M4C 5L3 at 7 PM. We text you when your print is ready. Please confirm your pickup the night before. To arrange a different time or place, ask in the job chat or email us.
- Delivery: by 1Courier across the Greater Toronto Area. When you order, you choose a same-day or next-day service and see its price, which is added to your order total. For anywhere else, ask in the job chat.
- Unclaimed prints: we hold finished prints for 30 days after we text you that they are ready. After that, and after a final reminder, we may recycle them without a refund.
- Your print becomes your responsibility once you or your courier collect it.
Cancellations and refunds
Because every print is made to order, cancellations and refunds follow our Refund and Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: cancel free before printing starts, and we fix or refund prints that come out wrong because of us.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits, missed deadlines, or damage to other items a part is used with. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under Ontario's Consumer Protection Act, 2002, or any other law that cannot be waived.
General
- We text you about your orders at the phone number you give us. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information.
- You need to be 18 or older, or have a parent or guardian's permission, to place an order.
- We may update these terms. The version posted when you place an order applies to that order.
- These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
